- 9:00AM — Registration
- 9:45AM — Boarding
- 10:00AM — Boat Departs
- 2:00PM — Return to Dock
How much are tickets?
Ticket prices:
- $40 – student rate (contact us at hackboat@bsidespdx.org for this rate)
- $100 – Sailor rate. Entry to Hackboat!
- $250 – Captain rate. A ticket to Hackboat, and an extra donation.
- $500 – Admiral rate. A ticket to Hackboat and a big extra donation. Thank you!
How can I help make Hackboat happen?

What hours will the Hackboat be cruising?
Time on the water should be from 10am to 2pm.
Food and drinks?
Lunch and appetizers are provided. There is a bar, but Hackboat attendees have to pay for their own drinks.
Internet?
There is no internet provided on the boat - you will need cell service if you want connectivity. Or, take the time to unplug and connect with the people around you!
Is this an infinitely sized Hackboat?
No, there is a limit of 85 people on this Hackboat.
Are you making money from this?
BSidesPDX is a nonprofit, and no one is getting paid for this. Ticket costs are structured to just cover costs; sponsorship tiers allow us to put on future Hackboat unconferences and are tax deductible since this is a BSides event. Anything received over the cost to put this on are put towards the next one (and other cool events).
